Northfield Public Library: How to Use the Library: Requesting Materials

Getting Hold Items

You can find your held items under your name on the shelf across from the self-checks and next to the elevator.  **They still need to be checked-out.

 

Requesting Items

You may want to request an item if: the library does not have the item you want OR the item you want is checked out.

Request via library catalog

  • Search for the item you want in the Catalog
  • Select Request next to the selected item

MNLink (For items unavailable through SELCO)

  • Search for the item you want in MNLink

You will be notified by email or standard mail when your hold is ready for pick up.

Make sure to Contact a Reference Librarian if you need any help requesting materials

  • Contact us by phone or in person
    • Visit the Information Desk upstairs

Homebound Services

If you are unable to travel to the library to pick up your materials, we can set up a delivery to your home.

Call 507-654-1806 and ask for Laurie Kodet if you are interested.
